Sofia District Prosecutor's Office has returned to the General Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency the case of 11 disloyal companies that have not paid salaries to their employees.

On Thursday, the Prosecutor's Office announced on its website that it is not competent to rule on violations of the labor law and that the inspectorate have not referred to them with specific evidence of an indictable offense.

According to the prosecutors, the General Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency is the right authority, which is competent to impose punishment on the companies.

On Monday, the head of the inspectorate, Rumyana Mihaylova, said that the 11 companies that have been given tot he Prosecutor's Office were the most striking cases among the 72 firms, checked in the last month.

The companies, which have systematically not paid salaries to their employees are: Deytron, Kurortno Stroitelstvo, International Power Security, Bulgarex, Armiles, Sokola, Avtobusni Prevozi, Alek Mak, Moststroy, Precis Inter Holding, and Moststroy Sofia.

Mihaylova has explained the case with these 11 companies was not that did not have the money, but that they just did not pay salaries.

She also added that about 16,000 complaints were received at the inspectorate for disloyal firms for 2010 only.
