Konstantin Prodanov Elected Head of Bulgarian Ex-President's Party
A former economic and financial advisor to President (2002-2012) Georgi Parvanov has been elected head of his ABV party, local media report.

Bulgaria's President is set to present his book entitled "The First Term of Georgi Parvanov", described as a collection of his political speeches and lectures from 2002-2007.
The First Term book will be presented on Sunday, January 23, 2010, and contains over 100 photos. According to the press office of the Presidency, the aim of the book is to "show the style of political speaking of Parvanov – contents, ideas, arguments."
"This is an important topic currently against the backdrop of the low level of political speech and the lack of the debate," the Presidency said as cited by the Bulgarian press.
Parvanov's book will be published the Zahari Stoyanov publishing house, whose director Ivan Granitski is considered the leader of the leftist intellectuals close to the President, a former leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
In 2001, Parvanov published his first book, "Before and After the 10th", referring to November 10, 1989, the end of the communist regime in Bulgaria. As a historian he is also the author of a number of articles and case studies.
