The Italian football club Chievo is the most likely new career step for the prolific French striker and Bulgarian Levski's star Garra Dembele.

Representatives of Chievo, famous for its nickname "The Flying Donkeys", have scouted the talented youngster throughout the season and now the club is ready to pay some EUR 2.5 M for him.

Dembele himself has been reportedly initially reluctant towards the transfer, as he has expressed his wish to move to the English Premiere League. The likes of Birmingham, Stoke and Blackburn were among the clubs mentioned to be interested in the top scorer of the Bulgarian national football championship.

Garra Dembele, 24, has been in top form this season, scoring the remarkable scored 26 goals in 26 games in all competitions, including the prestigious Europa League.

In December, the striker was arrested in Sofia for drunk driving and had to make an extended apology to the public and his team.
