WikiLeaks mastermind Julian Assange fears that he might be thrown into a military prison and receive a death sentence should he be extradited to the US.

This has been tweeted by the Times during the hearing of his UK trial for his extradition to Sweden, where he is charged with sexual assault and rape.

Assange is reported by the Times to feel the "real threat" to be imprisoned in Guantanamo and to be sentenced to death.

Tuesday's hearing also revealed for the first time the names of the two Swedish women charging Assange with assaulting them.
