Bulgarian human rights and eco activists are staging a protest rally against Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin's visit to Sofia, the organizers announced Thursday.
The rally will be held under the motto "Putin Out of Bulgaria" and will start at 9:30 am on Saturday, November 13, when the Russian PM is scheduled to arrive. Everyone, who wants to support the activists' demand for Bulgaria's independence from "Putin's Russia," is invited to join the demonstration at "Orlov Most" (Eagles Bridge) in downtown Sofia.
Organizers include: the Bulgarian Freedom of Speech Association "Anna Politkovskaya," the group "Civic Environmental Organizations," the Civic Initiative "Justice," the Institute for "Green Policy," the Bulgarian Civic League, the Greens Party, and others.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry announced large-scale traffic restrictions in Sofia over the visit, beginning on Friday, a day before Putin's arrival.
