The Bulgarian police have arrested two men and one woman who trafficked women to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland for sexual exploitation.

The two men aged 26 and 29, and the woman, aged 33, who lives out of wedlock with the younger men and is the other one's sister, have been charged with human trafficking.

The three pimps arrested in the city of Stara Zagora have worked together since 2006, targeting women and girls from all around Bulgaria.

They lured unemployed and poor persons with promises for better life, and transported them to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, where they were turned into sex slaves.

The Bulgarian police have pointed out that over the past four years the pimps had no legal income but at the same time demonstrated a luxurious lifestyle.

The police have found several women and one girl below 18 years of age who were victims of the sexual exploitation ring.
