A radical Kurdish group has claimed responsibility for the Sunday suicide bombing in Istanbul, Turkey that left 32 people injured, the BBC reports.
The Kurdistan Freedom Falcons (Tak) announced on their website that the attack in Istanbul's Taksim Square was "an act of revenge."
The attack targeted "the police force of Turkish fascism ," the group said, the BBC informed.
15 police officers and 17 civilians were injured in the suicide bombing at Taksim Square, which is a commercial district and a major transportation network that includes buses, metro stations and taxis and is usually flocked with people and police officers.
Even though analysts believed that the Kurdish separatist PKK party was behind the attack, the group denied the accusations, saying they "had no idea about it."
