Bulgaria Continues to Lead EU Industrial Output Decline
Bulgaria has recorded the largest drop in industrial production within the European Union for the fifth month in a row, according to preliminary data from Eurostat.

Bulgarian industrial production marked a 0.6% decrease year-on-year in July after going up by 3,6% the previous month, the national statistics institute said on Friday.
Production and supply of electricity, gas and steam decreased 5.6% , mining and quarrying output was down 0.4%, while the sector of processed goods increased by 1.1% compared to the same month last year.
The industrial turnover index increased 15.1% in July on an annual basis, after going up by 15,9% in June.
The turnover increase in the mining and quarrying industry was 23.1%, in the manufacturing, the index was up 16.2%. The index for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply rose 10.7% annually.
Turnover, however, fell 0.1% compared to the previous month.
