New payments totaling BGN 12.2 M were made to Bulgarian projects on the EU Rural Development Programme, announced Tuesday the Bulgarian State Agriculture Fund.

The state agency, which manages the absorption of EU funds related to agriculture and rural development, announced the funds were paid out to farms, municipalities and firms.

The amount includes BGN 5.4 M for 23 investment projects under the modernization of farms measure, and BGN 3.7 M under the services for rural areas measure.

Funds were also paid for the restructuring of farm holdings, the creation of farms by young farmers, as well as for various projects for training.
