The Bulgarian Unit for Combating Organized Crime (GDBOP) has crushed two organized groups for drug distribution in Sofia, the police announced Wednesday.
During one of the police operations, GDBOP has seized 3,5 kg of different type of drugs and has arrested 18 people, dealers and buyers, including the four organizers of the drug distribution group.
The police have searched the apartments of the arrested, used for drug storages, and have found high-quality amphetamines, marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy.
Around 60 phones and sim cards, used for ordering drugs, have also been sezied, as well as BGN 15 000, gained from sales.
Six members of another organized group for drug distribution in Sofia have also been arrested.
During a check of a Volkswagen, the police has found a nylon bag with 600g white powder. Under the wheel there have been another 2g of the same substance, which the police test has proved to be amphetamine.
The 24 people detained from the two operations will be under arrest for 24 hours.
