The fourth edition of the Bulgarian independent art festival “Water Tower” will take place at three different locations starting Saturday at the Water Tower in Sofia.
The festival contains music, video and photo installations of Bulgarian and international artists. An art market for handmade Bulgarian jewelries and accessories will be placed in the yard of the Tower.
On Sunday the festival is moving to the Bulgarian town of Bankya and the installations will be placed in the Old Bath of the town. Performances, workshops, and open music scene will also be part of the festival there.
In Bankya, the people will have the opportunity to meet the artists from Austria, France, Spain, Brazil, United Kingdom and Armenia.
The organizers of “Water Tower” said their idea for the festival was to take place at deserted places, which could be brought to live through art.
They will also organize a debate during the festival on how the municipalities could use such buildings and places in the future.
On June 27, “Water Tower” is going back to Sofia to present the art pieces at the “Serdika” metro station.
The expositions will be available between June 27 and 30 from 4-8 pm (GMT+2).
