Five people have been killed and 12 others have been wounded in a bomb attack on a bus carrying soldiers in Istanbul, Turkey Tuesday.

The explosion took place near the military residential compound in the Halkali district, which is on the European part of Istanbul.

According to CNN, the killed are 4 soldiers and an 18-year-old girl.

No one has officially carried out the attack yet.

Last weekend, the Kurdish rebel group (PKK) has threatened to attack all the cities and towns in Turkey. They killed nine soldiers in a raid on an outpost near the Iraqi border early on Saturday.
