Cleves, a Sofia-based luxury apartment rentals company, has acquired a brand-new 15-unit development in Cherkovna Street in the downtown of Bulgarian capital.
The deal with developer Prime Property BG REIT is valued at EUR 2 M, and Cleves said the apartments will be ready for rent in July 2010.
The new Cleves Cherkovna complex – as the new building will be known – is located at the junction of Cherkovna Str and Rusalka Str, close to the center of Sofia.
The state-of-the-art building was nominated for Bulgaria’s “Building of the Year” competition last year. It offers a range of luxury 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, plus underground parking.
The complex is 12 minutes away by car from the Sofia International Airport, and has convenient bus, tram, and road connections to the very downtown of the capital
“Despite the economic climate, we continue to experience strong demand for Cleves rental apartments. Our current occupancy across the portfolio is well over 80%. Already contracts are signed on four of the 15 new rental units at Cleves Cherkovna. This acquisition fits well with our strategy of offering for rent up-market properties in the best parts of Sofia. Our team has completed the interior designs, and is now working on the fit-out of the apartments. We are installing stylish Italian kitchens, complete with Bosch equipment throughout. Every unit will have air conditioning, wi-fi pre-installed, flat-screen TV with both cable and satellite, plus extensive security. The apartments will be fully furnished, and feel very modern and attractive,“ explained Peter Diakov, General Manager of Cleves EOOD.
Cleves EOOD, which is a company with Bulgarian and UK participation, is in the process of acquiring a EUR 40 M portfolio of upscale residential property in Sofia.
The company owns and operates all the apartments in its portfolio. It focuses on the top-end of the rentals market and ts clients include senior international business people and diplomats.
