President Peter Stoyanov and outgoing Foreign Minister Nadezhda Mihailova consecutively denied information on the allegedly agreed meeting with Libyan leader Gaddafi. Tripoli also officially refuted the information, carried by the Bulgarian press, that minister Mihailova had reportedly refused a meeting with Libyan leader Gaddafi on the fate of Bulgarian medics accused of infecting children with the HIV virus. The article claims that the court in Tripoli will pass two death sentences. I expressed my fears that such a campaign would pose a threat to the lives of our fellow countrymen in Lybia, declared Mihailova after the one-hour meeting.
