Bulgaria Minister of Culture Vezhdi Rashidov is to be celebrated in Moscow for his lifetime artistic achievements.
The International Academy of Culture and Art in Moscow has invited Vezhdi Rashidov to receive the special award at a ceremony on March 6 at the Christ the Savior Church in the Russian capital.
"Rashidov has made a considerable contribution to the promotion of the traditionally friendly relations between Bulgaria and Russia, which also form the basis of close cultural cooperation," said the formal invitation letter sent by the Russian International Academy.
Vezhdi Rashidov's art is popular not only in Bulgaria but also in Russia, France and other countries. He has received numerous arts awards and prizes.
The current Bulgarian Culture Minister is a member of the International Association of Arts, the European Academy of Arts and the Autumn Salon (Salon d'Automne) in France. He is also a member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
