The information comes from the Council of Ministers and shows that Borisov has received 3 times more letters so far than his predecessor, Socialist PM, Sergey Stanishev.
The Council of Ministers of the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party, led by Borisov, receives 1 700 letters a month of which about 11% come via email.
There are also many citizens, who bring the letters in person.
The requests for social assistance top the list of the topics addressed by Bulgarians, followed by questions about the smoking ban, the GMO and other current social debates.
The Council of Ministers Reception room is open for citizens daily between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm and 2 pm and 4 pm. The responses are sent within 2 months because experts need time to verify the inquiry and write a reply. Anonymous signals are not considered along with reported violations that happened more than 2 years ago.
