A reporter from the popular Bulgarian TV show 'Gospodari na Efira’ has been viciously attacked in Veliko Tarnovo by a building contractor he was investigating.
23-year-old, Dimitar Vurbanov, was hit on the head with a hammer during a meeting with building contractor Hristo Chapanov. He was reported to be conscious but seriously injured when he was taken away to a local hospital.
55-year-old Chapanov from Gabrovo met Vurbanov on ‘Bulgaria Boulevard’ near the city center. Police and an ambulance crew were called to the scene by an on-sight producer of the bTV program.
Police have taken Chapanov away for questioning. According to unconfirmed reports the building contractor was being investigated after a number of complaints from his customers.
