The Kulata - Promahonas border checkpoint has been closed to heavy vehicles at 3 pm on Sunday by striking Greek farmers, the Interior Ministry has announced.

Protesting Greek farmers had lifted their blockade of the crossing on Saturaday evening to allow through a 2-km queue of trucks waiting to enter Greece.

The ministry has reported that all other border crossings to Greece are operating normally. There was no information as to how long the Kulata checkpiont would remain closed.
