Bulgaria: Armored Car Blown up in Bulgaria Capital Sofia

An armored car was blown up in the Boyana Quarter of the Bulgarian capital Sofia late Tuesday night.

The Audi was parked near a hotel owned by businessman Mladen Mutafchiyski, who also owns several hotels along Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, and trades with arms.

According to unofficial information cited by BGNES, the owner of the exploded car is a 42-year-old man with initials V.G.

The Chief Secretary of Bulgaria’s Interior Ministry Kalin Georgiev has been detected on the spot of the explosion; he told the bTV channel that he was passing by the Boyana Quarter when he was alerted about the explosion.
