An apartment building in a residential quarter in the outskirts of the Bulgarian capital Sofia. An empty apartment, floor covered with old newspapers.

A TV set is placed on the floor in the middle of one of the rooms. An old woman is sitting on the only stool and is watching TV.

Her grandson, a 20-year-old drug addict, is sitting on the floor next her, and looking at old lottery tickets.

"Damn it!" he shouts out unexpectedly.

"What has happened, son," the old woman asks.

"Well, grandma, such bad luck! Again! We lost the lottery once again! This time we lost the TV set..."
