Bulgaria and Italy have huge potential for cooperation in developing transport infrastructure, said Basilio Germana, MP and guarantee for Bulgaria in the Italian parliament within the Azzurri nel Mondo Association. In the opinion of Germana the good connections between Rome and the Southern part of Italy are prerequisites for the eased contacts between the entrepreneurs. Ways of boosting the presence of Italian business in Bulgaria and the commitments of the association for providing security to the investors were discussed at the meeting of Germana and representatives of Forza Italia foreign agency with Sofia mayor Stefan Sofianski. The belief that Bulgaria will become NATO member and part of the European community in the short run was expressed. A department of the Italians abroad Forza Italia will be set up in Bulgaria, it transpired at the meeting. The project of Azzurri nel Mondo Association aims to protect the rights of the Italian citizens and create contacts between Italian community and the Bulgarian structures.
