The Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office charged former Transport Minister Vilhelm Kraus with a criminal breach of trust, following the parliamentary report on Air Traffic Services Authority. After the one-hour interrogation of Kraus, he said he is going to appeal against the BGN 10,000 of bail that was imposed on him. Last week Chief Prosecutor Nikola Filchev assigned a check of the reports on state-owned Air Traffic Services Authority to a group of prosecutors from the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office. Serious violations in seven deals were discovered by an inquiry committee’s check of Air Traffic Services Authority and handed to the Chief Prosecutor ten days ago. During its check, which covered the period 1997 –2001, the committee came to the conclusion that a number of contracts, agreements and annexes signed during this period by the company’s management served only private interests.
