WESTERN, RUSSIAN FIRMS TO UPGRADE UNITS 3,4 OF N-PLANT KOZLODUY

European Consortium Kozloduy signed on Friday with Bulgaria’s N-plant Kozloduy a memorandum for the modernization of third and fourth units of the nuclear power plant. Germany's Siemens AG, France's Framatome and Russia's Atomenergoexport are members of the consortium. The three companies have been implementing the modernization program of fifth and sixth 1,000-megawatt reactors at Kozloduy nuclear plant. The modernization of third and fourth units aims at lengthening their exploitation and increasing their safety.
