The overflowing Bistritsa river has destroyed a second bridge in the area between the southwest city of Kyustendil and the Bulgarian border with Macedonia.

Earlier the Bistritsa river washed away another bridged section of the road, bringing all road traffic to and from the Gyueshevo border crossing with Macedonia to a complete standstill.

Regional Road Department experts have examined the structure. They expect the imminent collapse of another section of the bridge, in the village of Nikolichevtsi.

There are no reports of personal injuries in the Kyustendil district, according to officials.
