Yane Yanev to Advise Bulgaria’s PM Borisov on Fight against Corruption
Yane Yanev, leader of the marginal conservative Order Law and Justice (RZS) party, has been appointed advisor at the Council of Ministers.
The conservative “Order, Law and Justice” Party (RZS) has called for the Bulgarian Ambassador to the UK, Lyubomir Kyuchukov, to be removed from his position.
The RZS MP, Dimitar Chukarski, Chairman of the parliament foreign affairs commission, read a statement from his party blaming Kyuchukov for violations in his former position as Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister before the July general elections.
The statement read: "RZS believes that he (Kyuchukov) is the main culprit for the creation of the huge number of polling stations in Turkey - 123, contrary to the electoral law of Bulgaria. He also did not create a sufficient number of voting stations in other European countries and the United States."
It concluded; "We believe that as a political figure from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he had responsibility for the untimely delivery of election documents, lists and records from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Central Election Commission. "
Foreign Affairs Minister, Rumiana Jeleva, stated that the recall of ambassadors does not only rely on her Minsitry, while indirectly answering the RZS statement. Jeleva said she would wait until the disciplinary inspection committee completes its investigation into the July elections before taking any action.
