Bulgarian Prime Minister Takes Action on 'Mama I Az' Hospital
Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev is poised to address critical issues plaguing children's healthcare in Bulgaria, particularly regarding the "Mama I Az" hospital.
The official reception of Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, was held in Sofia Thursday afternoon.
The ceremony took place on the square in front of the “Alexander Nevski” cathedral in downtown Sofia. The Italian PM and his Bulgarian counterpart, Boyko Borisov, received the Bulgarian National Guard of Honor. Berlusconi also laid a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.
Bulgarian officials attending the ceremony included the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Foreign Minister, Rumiana Jeleva, Regional Minister, Rosen Plevneliev, Culture Minister, Vezhdi Rashidov, diplomats and politicians.
The Bulgarian news site dir.bg reports that Berlusconi arrived late for the ceremony. Only a handful of citizens were curious enough to endure the cold Sofia weather to see the Italian PM in person. A small group of fans of the Italian Football Club “Milan”, which is owned by Berlusconi, were gathered in front of the cathedral, but police did not allow them to great the Italian PM with their “Bulgaria Rossonera” poster.
