PLOVDIV INTERNATIONAL FAIR GOES PUBLIC

Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Nikolay Vassilev, in his capacity as office holder authorized to exercise the rights of the state as owner of International Fair Co. of Plovdiv, announced that he had decided to transform the corporation into a public company and to register it at the Bulgarian Stock Exchange-Sofia. Forty-nine percent of the shares in International Fair Co. will be offered on the Stock Exchange, and compensation instruments will be eligible mediums of payment as well, Vassilev said. The remaining 51 percent stake will be sold to a foreign investor, which will be required to preserve the trade mark, the line of business and the registered office of the company.
