Bulgaria lost in straight sets to Poland in the European Volleyball Championships semi-final in Turkey.

After a wonderful Championships for Bulgaria, in which they had only registered one defeat, the semi-final game was a disappointment with Poland dominating throughout and eventually winning 19:25, 28:30, 20:25.

Bulgaria began slowly and the first set was a one-sided affair but the second set finished the Bulgarian challenge, as after having two set points they eventually lost 28:30. Bulgaria again struggled in the third. The team struggled on serve and also missed some easy blocks throughout the game.

Bulgaria will now face the losers of France v Russia, who are playing in the other semi-final, in the Third Place playoff on Sunday.
