The Bulgarian national volleyball team will be facing Poland in the semi-finals of the European Championship in Turkey.

The game against Poland was determined by a draw held Friday and will take place Saturday at 5:30 pm Bulgarian time in Izmir.

Russia will play France in the other semi-final match.

Poland is traditionally a hard team to beat for the Bulgarians. They were eliminated by Poland at the 2006 World Championship semi-final in Japan.

The final is scheduled for Sunday at 8:30 pm. The match for the bronze will be held at 6:30 pm, also on Sunday.

Bulgaria, led by Italian coach, Silvano Prandi, qualified for the semi-finals after beating Serbia, Italy, the Czech Republic, Finland and the Netherlands. The team lost to Russia Thursday, but the result was irrelevant since they had already secured their semi-final participation.
