TV WORLD 2002 WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL EVENT, CEO SAYS

According to the first reactions we received the international media events Television World 2002 in Albena was a very successful and useful event, George Kouzmov, CEO of the festival, said in an exclusive interview for novinite.com. Fourteen festivals took place in the framework of the international media events Television World 2002, which opened June 1 and went for till June 8 at the Black Sea resort of Albena. Innovative tendencies in the entertainment TV programs, sports television programs, festival exhibition of media technologies were just part of the events during Television World 2002. News organizations had the opportunity to show the best from their TV productions, to develop contacts with news centers. Some twenty one radio stations competed in the third edition of the Silver Wave Radio Festival in fifteen categories. It was also the first time that semi-final voting for International Emmy Awards took place in the framework of the festival.
Following is an exclusive interview with the CEO of the festival George Kouzmov.
Q: Which in your opinion was the most significant event during this year’s media festival in the resort of Albena?
A: The semi-final voting for International Emmy Awards in the Entertainment Television Programs category.
Q: The most unexpected?
A: The organization and carrying out of the republican competition for mighty men Iron Men.
Q: How do you think the festival contributed to making Bulgaria’s news programs more professional?
A: The participation of foreign programs in the competition gave the Bulgarian colleagues the opportunity to see how far they have come in making and presenting news.
Q: In which sections the competition was most fierce?
A: This year again the radio festival presented the most fierce competition for the big prizes.
Q: What difficulties did you have in organizing the festival?
A: The raising of funds for the festival was the most difficult part in the preparations.
Q: Regarding the quality of the products presented by the Bulgarian and foreign participants, did they live up to your expectations?
A: The events, which took place in the framework of “Television world”, were fourteen with participants from more than 30 countries, so I did not have the opportunity to follow all of them.
Q: Did you already receive some feedback?
A: A very successful and useful event!
Q: How do you see the festival’s development in the near future?
A: It may take place in two countries, simultaneously.
