Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has stated that the Bulgarian government will cover the expenses of all organ transplant operations in Bulgaria.
In an interview for Bulgarian newspaper 24 Chasa, Borisov said that if the transplantation costs can not be covered by the state budget, which is likely, the government will turn to the bank that offers the most attractive credit interest.
Borisov added that it breaks his heart to watch situations on television where families can not afford transplant operations for their loved ones.
He concluded that for all the transplant operations needed the cost will be between BGN 95-96 M but stated that for everyone whose turn it is to have a transplant the government will pay.
