Don't Miss Out: JUDAS PRIEST Returns to Bulgaria on July 19th
The grand concert production will take place at Arena Sofia Hall
The company organizing the concert of pop star Madonna in Bulgaria have confirmed the event would take place as scheduled on August 29, 2009.
On Thursday, Sofia Music Enterprises, the company organizing what is expected to be the most spectacular performance to ever take place on Bulgarian soil, made it clear that there were no changes in Madonna's schedule for the Sticky & Sweet Tour concert in Sofia.
The organizers claim that the pop star was anxious to perform in Bulgaria where she will be coming for the first time. Most of the tickets for the concert are reported to have been sold out but limited quantities are still available.
Over 400 people will be employed to construct the stage on the Vasil Levski Stadium for the Sticky & Sweet concert. Madonna is going to arrive with a team of 250 people, and will change eight different costumes during the performance.
Despite the message from the organizers of Madonna's Sofia concert, reports in world media Thursday brought the news about a possible Michael Jackson tribute concert with the potential participation of Madonna that might take place in London on Jacko's 51st birthday - August 29, 2009, which is also the date for Madonna's performance in Bulgaria.
Yet, it is still unclear whether and when a Michael Jackson tribute concert would take place, and whether it might interfere with Madonna's concert in Sofia.
