The Strong Earthquake in Taiwan Caused Equipment Damage at TSMC Chipmaker
The intense earthquake that rattled Taiwan early Wednesday, led to equipment damage at the semiconductor giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)
A total of three quakes have been register Monday in a period of just two hours in the region of Bulgaria's second biggest city of Plovdiv.
The latest of the the three has been registered at 1.44 pm and had a magnitude of 3,2 on the Richter scale, Darik Radio reported.
The epicenter has been the same as the previous two - 150 kilometers South-East from the capital Sofia.
After the first tremor which occurred shortly before noon, the second one was significantly weaker, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences reported.
The first shake had a magnitude of 3,5 on the Richter scale, and was felt most intensely around the town of Sadovo in South-Eastern Bulgaria.
According to the State Directorate "Civil Defense", the epicenter of the earthquake was at a 140 kilometers at South-Eastern direction from the capital Sofia.
About a week ago a 3,6 on Richter shake was registered in Plovdiv, Smolyan and Kardzhali. The epicenter was then at 180 kilometers from Sofia at the same direction.
