Income Declarations in Leva, Payments in Euros: Bulgaria’s 2026 Tax Season Begins
Bulgaria has officially launched the 2026 tax campaign for income earned in 2025, and early results show strong public engagement.

Bulgarian bloggers, who have incomes from posting ads or serving as mediators through their blogs, will have to pay taxes and social insurances, local media reported.
An instruction of the National Revenues Agency to this effect has been posted on its site and insiders say a probe is underway to find out the advertisers of the biggest bloggers in the country, 24 Hours daily reported.
According to the report the amount of the tax will depend on the statute of the bloggers.
