Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev, took part Monday in the celebrations for June 1, International Children's Day.
Stanishev attended the June 1 events on the square before the National Palace of Culture in downtown Sofia, where he presented his new pet - the English bulldog Barry.
The Prime Minister enlisted Barry in the competition for the most beautiful pet, and wished all children to preserve their faith and innocence as long as possible.
Barry is a personal gift to Bulgaria's PM by the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso.
