Bulgaria will open a consulate general office in the Spanish city of Valencia.

Bulgaria's ambassador in Spain, Ivan Hristov, and the administrative secretary of the Bulgarian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ivan Petrov, will unveil the consulate general, the government's press office announced.

The consulate will improve the service of over 40 000 Bulgarian citizens on the territory of the consular district, extend representation of Bulgaria in Spain, and strengthen economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
