First Swine Flu Case in Turkey: First Swine Flu Case in Turkey

Turkey has registered Saturday the first case of the swine flu (AH1N1) virus.

A US tourist has tested positive for the virus after his arrival at the Istanbul Airport, Turkish Health Ministry stated, Darik Radio reported.

Thermal cameras placed at the airport recorded a high temperature in one passenger. The unnamed tourist was traveling to Iraq.

Serious measures are being taken in Turkey to avoid spread of the disease.
