Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev, declared Friday Bulgaria was making serious contributions in the forming of an EU energy policy.
In a joint press briefing with European Commission President Barroso, Stanishev thanked the Commission for its aid in drafting the final declaration of the Sofia Energy Summit "Natural Gas for Europe", which is to signed Saturday by the 28 summit participants.
"The EC will make sure the Bulgarian citizens will never be cut off again from the rest of Europe, and will never be cold in their homes", EC President Barroso vowed.
He described the Sofia Energy Summit as an important initiative, which would contribute a great deal to EU's energy security and energy solidarity.
