Bulgaria: Crisis Chases Vietnam Workers from Bulgaria's Ruse The 27 Vietnamese workers of the paint and construction materials factory Orgahim in Bulgaria's Ruse are heading home.

27 Vietnamese workers at the construction materials factory Orgahim of Bulgaria's Ruse are leaving chased away by the crisis.

Under their contracts, the Vietnamese are supposed to be getting BGN 450 per month at the Orgahim factory but they told the Bulgarian National Television they received only BGN 350 per month during the last three months.

The plant was going to lay off the workers from Vietnam anyway even if they had not left themselves.

"We are leaving on April 14. But we first need to settle our matters somehow because the contract is for BGN 450, and we have been getting only BGN 350. I don't know but lying is no good", the 49-year-old painter Nguyen Long is quoted as saying.

Long still has no idea what job he would take up in the 85-million Vietnam. With his BGN 450 per month he was trying to support his wife and three kids back home in Vietnam, where the average salary is about BGN 250.
