British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw is meeting Indian leaders in Delhi on the second leg of his efforts to avert a possible war between India and Pakistan over Kashmir. Mr Straw's talks with Indian Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh and Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee follow an angry reaction in Delhi to Monday's speech by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. Mr Singh described General Musharraf's televised address to the nation as "dangerous and disappointing", adding that "tensions have been added not reduced". Mr Straw has already met President Musharraf, in what he described as forthright and constructive discussions. He gave no details, but said he had would made clear to the Pakistani leader that the international community expected him to prevent any cross-border terrorist attacks in Indian-administered Kashmir.
