Two separate elections, for the Bulgarian Parliament and the European Parliament, will cost Bulgaria BGN 40 M.

If the elections were combined and held on one day as the National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP) party proposed in February, they would have cost BGN 22 M less.

"This is the amount of money, that we need for students' scholarships for one year", Bulgaria's Administration Minister and NMSP MP, Nikola Vasilev, said in an interview for Darik Radio.

In his words, public orders for voting papers have already been appointed, and the government hopes that the 23 000 ballot boxes will be enough.
