DSB leader Ivan Kostov has stated that he wants smaller parties to join the new Bulgarian right wing coalition.

Kostov was speaking before leaving for a three-day meeting at the Italian resort of Cadenabbia on Lago di Como, in which a range of centre-rightwing Bulgarian political party leaders will be involved.

"I look forward with hope to the involvement of smaller right wing parties in our new coalition, as long as they can positively help us in the forth coming elections and beyond," Kostov said.

The leaders of Bulgaria's right-wing opposition the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) and Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) parties, Martin Dimitrov and Kostov, signed Friday a pre-election coalition agreement.

The Italian meeting, organised by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation under the title of Workshop for the Future, started Saturday.
