“The decision for NATO enlargement will be based on values, not on possibilities,” Bruce Jackson, President of the US Committee on NATO enlargement said to the members of the political committee with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Jackson stated that further cooperation between EU and NATO should be boosted and coordination among the different institutions should be enhanced because of the new threats to the security in the world. Jackson criticized the fact that currently the dialogue takes place between EU and US instead of between NATO and EU.
