“I think that the final declaration of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly spring session will read that the forthcoming enlargement of the Alliance will be geographically or regionally balanced,” Stanimir Ilchev, Chairman of the Foreign Policy, Defence and Security Committee said.

According to him, the unofficial signals that Bulgaria will most probably be invited to become NATO member in Prague have become more frequent and concrete. The reached declaration after the four-day summit in Sofia will be presented to the Heads of State of NATO member countries in Prague in November to decide which countries will be invited to join NATO.
