24 MAY CELEBRATED AT “FLORIADE 2002” IN HARLEM, HOLLAND

Agriculture Minister Mehmed Dikme and his Deputy Nihat Kabil arrived on May 24 in the Holland town of Harlem for the fifth international fair “Floriade 2002.” The fair, which only occurs every ten years, opened April and is expected to close in October this year. More than 1 million people have visited the event up to this moment. The minister has greeted all twenty Bulgarian companies participating in the fair on a ceremony celebrating the national holiday of culture and Slavic letters. He has pinpointed the development of agriculture as a major priority for the economy of the country. Minister Dikme also met with his Holland colleague, who assured him of his support for Bulgarian accession to the European Union.
