BULGARIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE TO BE SET UP IN ROME

During his meeting with His Holiness Pope John Paul II, Bulgaria’s President Georgi Parvanov set forth the issue for the setting up in Rome of a Bulgarian cultural institute, that will do research in the rich cultural and historical relations of Bulgaria and the Vatican. Parvanov proposed the institute to be named to Sts Cyril and Methodius. His Holiness supported the idea of the Bulgarian president and pointed out that this was a good project and it was necessary to set up such an institute.
