UKRAINE AND BULGARIA TO BOOST COOPERATION

Ukraine’s President Leonid Kuchma and Bulgaria’s Vice President Angel Marin stressed the necessity of increasing economic ties between their countries during a meeting Friday. Kuchma said that the work of the joint Ukrainian-Bulgarian Commission on economic and trade cooperation will be intensified and Ukraine will work to boost cooperation with Bulgaria. Marin, who arrived in Ukraine on Friday for a working visit, expressed his country's support for Ukraine's plans to integrate with Europe and its quest for associate membership in the European Union. Marin arrived in Kiev to take part in events dedicated to the days of Slav literary language.
