Photo Story: Security heightened in Europe after Brussels attacks

Belgian police has launched large-scale raids in Brussels in search for suspects involved in March 22 morning attacks, which claimed the lives of at least 31 people and left hundreds injured. The attacks started with twin suicide bombings at the departure hall of Zaventem airport, where at least 11 people were killed and up to a hundred others wounded. About an hour later, an explosion occurred at Maelbeek metro station near the European quarter of Brussels, in which at least 20 people lost their lives and 130 other suffered injuries. According to media reports, the two suicide bombers at Zaventem airport have been identified as brothers Khalid and Brahim el-Bakraoui, Belgian nationals. Islamic State (IS) group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
