Hotel heiress and Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton was released on Tuesday from the Los Angeles jail, where she served 24 days for violating her reckless-driving probation.
She was greeted by a throng of reporters, who surrounded the Lynwood detention facility in expectation of her release. Hilton was picked up by her parents, Rick and Kathy.
Her first interview after release will be with CNN's Larry King on Wednesday, who scrapped a planned interview with controversial director Michael Moore to fit her in.
Hilton, 26, was sentenced to 45 days in jail earlier this month after she was caught driving with a suspended license during her 36-month probation period for an earlier offence.
Her sentence was later reduced due to crowded jail conditions and her good behaviour, penitentiary officials said.
She was briefly released from custody just three days after entering the jail, but a judge ordered her back, dismissing her claims she was sick.
