Turnout in Bulgaria's MEP vote across the country averaged 13.24% around 2 pm, the Central Election Commission announced.
The turnout reached higher levels as the election day progressed, still there are seven more hours to pass before the closing hour of the poll stations.
The town of Gurmen and the town of Razgrad boast the highest turnout, 28 % and 22,59 % respectively, leaving behind the leaders in the 10 am results - Shumen and Stara Zagora. The turnout in Shumen is now 18,26%.
The lowest turnout so registered in the central Bulgarian town of Pazardhik, where less than 10% of the people eligible to vote have turned out at the polling stations to cast a ballot.
There is still no information about the turnout in the capital Sofia city.
The election day is expected to end at 7 pm. local time but if people are queuing to vote they will be given the chance.
